Stevie Wonder brings Songs in the Key of Life to Capital One Arena

Fifty years after the album dropped, Wonder plays it front to back on Nov. 23 at Capital One Arena. It's one of the few remaining North American dates on the 50th anniversary tour.

Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life turned 50 in 2026, and he's marking the occasion the only way that makes sense: playing the whole double album live, every track, in sequence. The Washington stop on the 50th Anniversary Tour lands at Capital One Arena on Monday, Nov. 23, with an 8 p.m. curtain.

The DC date follows New York (Nov. 19, Madison Square Garden) and Chicago (Nov. 21, United Center), making it the third of three consecutive arena nights. Songs in the Key of Life spent 14 weeks at No. 1 when it was released in 1976 and won four Grammy Awards including Album of the Year.

Tickets start around $370 on the secondary market. Capital One Arena is at 601 F St NW; Metro Center and Gallery Place-Chinatown stations are both a short walk.
