Two Door Cinema Club plays The Anthem with STRFKR opening

The Northern Irish indie trio hits the Southwest Waterfront on October 11 for a rare DC headlining set, with Portland art-pop act STRFKR as support.

Two Door Cinema Club, Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird, and Sam Halliday, last played Washington two years ago. They're back Sunday, October 11 at The Anthem, 901 Wharf Street SW, with doors at 5:30 p.m. and the show starting around 9 p.m. Portland's STRFKR opens.

The band formed in Bangor, County Down in 2007 and broke through with Tourist History before building a catalog of dance-punk and synth-pop through five studio albums, the most recent being Keep On Smiling in 2022. The Anthem's 6,000-capacity room and adjustable floor layout make it one of the better mid-size rooms on the East Coast for this kind of show.

Tickets are available via AXS and other major sellers, with general admission floor spots starting around $86 to $97 all-in depending on the platform. VIP packages go up to $500.
